The three screen video installation focuses on three political found footages, which had been produced separately in 1970’s by women filmmakers and film groups. These footages, shot by the women filmmakers and found by the artist since the beginnings of 2000’s, in the trash bazaars and junk dealers’ warehouses as if they suddenly appear from nowhere, problematize the existing forms of women with very different stories from one another in the political field of the politic universe of 1970’s. The first one narrates the operation of a transmission of about thirty 8 mm rolls, taken by the artist from the PTT auction of posts that had not been reached to their addresses after thirty years of waiting, to their militant woman director, who, because of being escaped some foreign country on the back of September 1980 and being obliged to change her address, could had never found the opportunity to get the rolls back. The second footage focuses on an 8 mm roll of some twenty minutes shot by the women of İKD (İlerici Kadınlar Derneği - Progressives Women Association) and found by the artist in a warehouse of a junk dealer. With the witnessing of the activists, this footage transforms into the reproduction of a protest march to Ankara, held against the closing of the Association by the state in 1979. Again taken by the artist from a trash bazaar, the third footage focuses on the 1977 Bakırköy Sümerbank Strike by TEKSİF (a women textile workers union), which had been shot and storied in 16 mm by women. A cyclical installation of eighty diapozitives, shot by a woman textile worker –and a photographer- accompanies to this three screen video installation. All of the eighty diapositives had been chosen among thousands of them found again in between leavings, and they all show the labour places, strikes, protests and processes of pitching protest tents, so in total is an example of a journalised form of women’s protests of 1970’s. Kadınların Filmleri, 8mm ve 16 mm buluntu filmden transfer edilmiş dijital 3 ekranlı video düzenleme, [Fata Morgana, Kadınların Yürüyüşü, Parçabaşı], renkli, 16’ 50”, 22’ 30”, 26,. 2019.
Üç ekranlı video düzenleme, üç kadın filmci ve film grubunun 1970’lerde ürettiği ve kaybolan üç politik buluntu film kaydına odaklanıyor. 2000’lı yılların başından beri çöp pazarlarında, hurdacı depolarında birden beliriveren kadın filmcilere ait sanatçının bulduğu bu filmler birbirinden çok farklı hikayelerle 1970’lerin politik evreninde kadınların siyasal alanla kurduğu ilişkiyi kuşatıyor. İlk film, sanatçının 30 yılı aşınca adresine ulaşmayan PTT postalarının mezatından aldığı, 12 Eylül 1980 sonrasında gönderilen adresini değiştirip yurtdışına kaçtığı için filmler kendisine ulaşmamış bir militan kadın filmcinin 30 kadar 8mm filmine ve bu filmleri kadın filmciye ulaştırma sürecini anlatıyor. İkinci Film bir hurdacı deposunda keşfedilen İKD (İlerici Kadınlar Derneği)’nin yine İKD’ci kadınlar tarafından çekilmiş bir 20 dakikalık 8mm kaydına odaklanıyor. Film İKD 1979’da devlet tarafından kapatılınca bu kapatılmaya karşı Ankara’ya yapılan bir Eylem gezisinin eyleme katılanların tanıklıklarıyla yeniden üretimine dönüşüyor. Üçüncü film yine çöp pazarından alınmış bir kadın emeğine dayalı Tekstil işçileri sendikası olan TEKSİF’in, yine kadınların çekip 16mm olarak hikayeleştirdikleri 1977 Bakırköy Sümerbank grevine odaklanıyor. Bu üç ekranlı video düzenlemeye bir Tekstil işçisi kadın fotoğrafçının emek mekanları, grevler, eylemler, grev çadırı dikme süreçlerinin kayıtlarından oluşan 1970’ler kadın eylemlerinin kaydını tuttuğu çöplerde bulunmuş binlerce dia pozitif kaydından seçilen döngüsel 80 dia pozitifin düzenlemesi eşlik ediyor.
